I've been meaning to jump in alongside my mother's thank-you note and tell you how incredibly happy we are that we hired you as our wedding photographer. Like, seriously I can't quite find the words to express how impressed we are with these photos and with your whole vibe at the wedding. You are THE REAL DEAL (of course, duh), and it's still incredible to see you in action and to look at these photos. Nolene and I spent a few hours last night looking through the entire collection, and I couldn't count the times we said "wowww" and "oh my goooood".

One of the things I love about your work is that you find creative ways to bring the artistry into the photos. You're not just taking pics of people smiling -- you're really capturing the whole thing in interesting ways. Your use of foreground/background focus, framing, foliage, and looking at the way the light affects the overall composition (like those cool pics of the back of Riley (toddler)'s dress with the beads, and the shadows they cast on her back) -- the way you included these types of photos really shines a light on beautiful details we might have missed in passing, but appreciate heavily as we relive the day by way of the gallery. AND for the fun photos, you're so good at making everyone feel comfortable, joyful, and natural. So awesome.

Also, when you invited me and Nolene to step away from the bustling crowd and hang out quietly on the dock for a moment, I was so relieved and grateful to have a quiet moment to everything up with my new wife. The way you initiated this moment made it feel so natural and calm (just what we needed), and you captured it so perfectly. It really meant a lot to us in the moment, and as we look back on it.

We appreciate you rolling with the punches amidst the chaos of our wedding party members wandering away (haha), and we still got every photo we wanted!

It was also super cool of you to take a little extra time for those nighttime photos with the moon, those came out so well!!

We are so excited to share these with our family and friends, what a blessing it's been to work with you. I hope to have the opportunity to do so again in the future :)
